Celebrate TDM Week May 10-14th. Share your TDM projects and stories!
The Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) is launching National TDM Week May 10-14, 2021. We need you to share your TDM programs and success stories while highlighting any measurable data you collect to help support and further the MORE Through TDM Act.
Transportation Management Demand, or TDM, are strategies or tools utilized to effectively manage our transportation network. TDM alternatives, such as biking, transit, working from home, carpooling, or vanpooling, or programs that are implemented by businesses or communities not only improve air quality but also help with stimulating economic activity.
GVF's Executive Director, Rob Henry serves as Chair of the Public Policy Committee and is the acting Immediate Past President for the association. GVF has been heavily involved in creating the MORE Through TDM Act.
The Mobility Options, Resiliency & Efficiency (MORE) Through TDM Act focuses on solidifying the importance and support of TDM as a key strategy for federal transportation policy. The legislation outlines the importance of TDM and establishes requirements for regions to include TDM in Long-Range Transportation Plans. The legislation would also establish new funding in the amount of $250 million/year for 5 years to support the implementation of TDM strategies.
