Buses are expected to travel, but bus stops usually stay put.

Not so for Philly’s roving Greyhound station, which has had three homes in two years and will likely move again.

The intercity bus service shuttered its longtime terminal on Filbert Street in 2023 and moved to curbside operations on the 600 block of Market Street. The site lacked benches, bathrooms, and other amenities typically found before long trips.

“Rarely has a single government decision unleashed such chaos,” wrote Inquirer architecture critic Inga Saffron.
